Co:llaboratory kicks off 5th Initiative "Human Rights and the Internet"

Deutsche Version.

On the 16th of January, 30 experts, ranging from Human Rights activists to data security specialists, gathered at the Heinrich Böll Stiftung in Berlin to start the Co:llaboratory’s 5th Initiative on “Human Rights and the Internet”.

In their first offline meeting, the participants from academia, the private sector and civil society got to know each other by Pecha Kucha introductions and developed a common understanding of the topic. The inputs were clustered into thematic blocs and set the stage for four core working groups:

  • Internet Governance and Regulation

  • Organizational Forms and Implementation

  • Basic and Civil Rights

  • Digital Public Sphere
The experts will continue the work in these groups online until the 17th of February, when initial results are presented and discussed in the plenum of the initiative's second workshop.

If you want to keep track of the Co:llaboratory events, here is our public calendar.
